On April 6, 2018, the GPCI 6th grade travelled to Dallas, Texas and toured the Perot Museum. Among the many activities, scholars learned about robotics in a learning lab, toured museum exhibits, and experienced a “Journey into Space”.

Sixth grade scholars learned about different types of robots and got to play with circuit boards, “Bee Bots”, create binary code messages and use cube robots. Another highlight of the field trip was seeing the large dinosaur bones. Once museum staff member explained that the bones were actually created from a 3-D printer!

Of course, no field trip would be complete without lunch. Scholars enjoyed lunch at the Perot Museum cafe or brought their lunch to enjoy out on the patio.

It was a beautiful and educational day at the Perot!
